Denise Griffin

Denise is the General Manager of FieldHOUSE Sudbury and has been with the company since its inception in 2007. Before coming to FieldHOUSE, she was the Manager of The Longfellow Club in Wayland. Denise has a BA from SUNY Albany and a MBA from Michigan State University.

Sport Specific Training by Coaches

Linda Martindale

Basketball Director

Coach Martindale was the Varsity Girls coach at Newton North High School from 2010-2016 and prior to that, three years as the Varsity Girls coach at Weston High School. In addition, she has coached at Curry College (NCAA Div III) and Lincoln Sudbury High School. In 2010, Martindale was honored to the receive the Massachusetts Coaches Basketball Association, Division III North Coach of the Year. She started her basketball coaching career as a redshirt player at the University of Arizona more than two decades ago. During her year away from playing, she was the Varsity Assistant at St. Gregory High School in Tucson, AZ. Post-college, Coach Martindale was a guest speaker or coach at numerous camps across the USA and Canada. Coach Martindale looks forward to coaching boys and girls of all ages with a focus on fundamentals, footwork and proper shooting mechanics.

Jay Smith

Sports Performance Coach

Jay Smith has worked at FieldHOUSE since the summer of 2013 as a sports performance coach. He is nationally certified by NASM as a personal trainer as well as a corrective exercise specialist. He also has a background in mixed martial arts and has spent many years training in Muay Thai.

Chris Pothier

Field Hockey Coach

Chris is the Director of the Cape Ann Coalition, New England's premier field hockey club. He teaches clinics and camps throughout the region. Chris was a member of the U.S. National Men's Field Hockey Team.

Judy Katalina

Volleyball Coach

Coach Katalina is the Girl’s Volleyball Varsity Head Coach at Lincoln-Sudbury HS and has been for the last 26 years.


Ofelia Collins

Ofelia Collins began coaching at FieldHOUSE in the fall of 2013. She received her certification through the ISSA in 2011 and has worked as a personal trainer since then. Ofelia worked out at FieldHOUSE before coming aboard as a sports performance coach. She resides in Sudbury with her husband and two children, who are all athletes. She grew up in Framingham and completed the Boston Marathon in 1998. We are lucky to have another female fitness motivator!

Lecia Whitlock

Lecia graduated from the National Personal Training Institute (NPTI) and is a nationally certified Advanced Personal Trainer through the TW-CC, as well as being Kettle Bell and TRX certified.
From 2011-2016 Lecia served as both an instructor and as the Director of Admissions and Student Services for NPTI. In the spring of 2014 Lecia entered her first INBF Northeast Classic Figure competition and earned trophies for each class entered. Yoga has also played an important role in Lecia’s training philosophy, focusing on core strength, flexibility, mobility and postural alignment, all of which contribute to overall health and athletic performance.

Isaiah Davis

Isaiah is the Ashland HS Varsity Basketball Coach. With over 20 years’ experience as a player and a coach, Isaiah Davis brings a wealth of knowledge, skill and enthusiasm to FieldHOUSE Sudbury program. Isaiah played basketball at Babson College and then used his leadership and basketball experience to start GT Elite program. In addition to owning GT Elite, Coach Davis coaches for the prestigious New England Playaz Basketball Club and as the Middle School Head Coach at Noble and Greenough School. This Fall, Coach Davis will also take on a new role as the Director of Player Development for Zero Gravity Training.

Ryan Barry

Ryan Barry is a Certified Personal Trainer through the American Counsel of Exercise and has a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice and Coaching. He was a former football coach at Bridgewater State University, North Carolina Wesleyan College and Becker College for four years. Coach Barry was also a collegiate football player at Bridgewater State University and a three sport athlete in high school.

Mary Matthews

Mary has been coaching High School Athletics for a decade as the Varsity Softball Coach at Acton-Boxborough Regional High School. She is also a member of the Field Hockey coaching staff and a former member of the Girls Basketball Staff. Mary has spent 7+ years training AB Female Athletes on “how to” manage their way around the weight room, Olympic lifts, circuit training, speed and agility work.
