Personal training includes wellness and nutritional information and is provided in a supportive, community-based environment. Personal Training Staff:
John Bavota has worked at The FIELDHOUSE Sudbury since 2009 where he is the director of Soccer and was also named Director of Sports Performance in the fall of 2012. His background includes soccer, playing and coaching pre-k through collegiate players, nationally, and internationally. He is certified by the USA-W in weight lifting and also holds his D-license for soccer coaching through the USASA. He returned to the FIELDHOUSE in the spring of 2014 after taking a leave of absence to play and coach in the Azores, Portugal.
Jay Smith has worked at the FIELDHOUSE since the summer of 2013 as a sports performance coach. He is nationally certified by NASM as a personal trainer. He also has a background in mixed martial arts and has spent many years training in Muay Thai. He recently began running and completed his first relay as part of the FIELDHOUSE/SMILE Mass Ragnar Cape Cod Relay team, which placed 31st out of 330 teams in it’s division.
Keith Hughes began training with the FIELDHOUSE in the spring of 2012 and was brought on as a coach in the spring of 2013. He is an avid runner and has completed 2 marathons as well as several half marathons and relays, most recently competing as part of the FIELDHOUSE/SMILE Mass Ragnar Relay team. He was born and raised in Delaware and currently lives in Sudbury.
Liza Duddy began working at the FIELDHOUSE in September of 2012 as a communications and marketing assistant. She had been training at the FH since 2011 as an athlete and soon after being hired caught the bug and began coaching. She received certification from the USA-W in 2013 just before taking a leave of absence to work in the Azores, Portugal where she taught group fitness classes. She is an avid runner and has completed several half marathons and recently finished her first relay as part of the FIELDHOUSE/SMILE Mass Ragnar Relay team. She initiated the childcare program, which has since grown significantly and includes three childcare providers offering childcare four days a week.
Ofelia Collins began coaching at FIELDHOUSE in the fall of 2013. She received her certification through the ISSA in 2011 and has worked as a personal trainer since then. Ofelia worked out at the FIELDHOUSE before coming aboard as a sports performance coach. She resides in Sudbury with her husband and two children, who are all athletes. She grew up in Framingham and completed the Boston Marathon in 1998. We are lucky to have another female fitness motivator!
